How does the PetCarts NFC tag work?
The tag uses NFC technology — the same technology in your debit card and phone. You attach it to your pet's collar and register your contact details on our website. When someone finds your pet they tap the tag with any smartphone and your name, phone number, and address appear on their screen instantly. No app needed, no login required.
What phones does it work with?
It works with all iPhones (iPhone 7 and newer) and all Android phones made after 2017. This covers over 95% of all smartphones in use today. The finder does not need to download anything — it works right out of the box.
Does the tag need a battery?
No. NFC tags are completely passive — they have no battery and never need charging. They work forever.
Is the tag waterproof?
Yes. The PetCarts tag is waterproof and built to handle daily wear including rain, swimming, and rough play. It is designed to last the lifetime of your pet.
What pets can use it?
PetCarts tags work for any pet that wears a collar or harness — dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and more.
REGISTRATION AND SETUP
How do I register my tag?
When you receive your tag, tap it with your phone or visit the URL printed on the tag in your browser. A registration form will appear. Fill in your name, phone number, address, and pet details. It takes less than 60 seconds. Your tag is live the moment you hit save.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no account, no login, and no app required. You simply tap the tag and fill in the form once.
Can I update my information after registering?
Yes. Tap your tag again at any time and you will see your current information. Update anything you like and save. Changes are live immediately.
What information should I register?
We recommend adding your full name, phone number, home address, and a short note for the finder such as your pet's name and any important medical information. The more detail you add the faster you will be reunited with your pet.
What if I get a new phone number or move house?
Just tap your tag and update your details. Takes 30 seconds. Always keep your information current — it is the most important thing you can do to protect your pet.
PRIVACY AND SECURITY
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. Your information is stored securely and is only visible when someone physically taps your pet's tag with a smartphone. It is not searchable on Google or any other search engine and is never shared with third parties.
Can anyone find my information without tapping the tag?
No. Your details are only accessible when the tag is physically tapped. There is no way to look up your information online.
Can I delete my information?
Yes. Email us at petcarts.ca@gmail.com and we will permanently delete your registration data within 24 hours.

How much does the PetCarts tag cost?
The PetCarts Smart NFC Tag is $19.99 CAD. Free shipping on every order across Canada. No subscription and no monthly fees ever.
Do you ship across all of Canada?
Yes. We ship free to every province and territory in Canada.
How long does shipping take?
Most orders arrive within 3 to 7 business days depending on your location. Ontario and Quebec typically receive orders in 2 to 4 business days. Orders are processed within 1 business day.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.
Can I order multiple tags?
Absolutely. Many pet owners order one tag per pet. Simply increase the quantity at checkout. Each tag gets its own unique URL and registration page.
RETURNS AND WARRANTY
What if my tag does not work?
Email us at petcarts.ca@gmail.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We will send a free replacement within 1 business day. No need to return the original.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason email us at petcarts.ca@gmail.com and we will process a full refund.
What if my tag arrives damaged?
Email us at petcarts.ca@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage and we will send a replacement immediately at no cost.
